Email Policy
This document outlines under what conditions Web Performance, Inc. sends email to its customers.
Demo Downloading
When a customer downloads the free demo, he/she will receive:
- An email containing the license key.
- An email from a support rep. giving contact information and instructions.
- Very periodically a customer satisfaction survey is sent after the demo period expires.
- The customer will not be placed on a mailing list unless:
- The user selects the mailing list option on the download form.
- The user responds to a confirmation email that he/she does indeed want to join the mailing list.
Mailing List
Web Performance Inc. will only send email to individuals who actively subscribe to one of our mailing lists. Subscription to a mailing list is accomplished through a double confirmation system to protect against accidental or prank subscriptions.
Subscribing
To be placed on a mailing list, the customer must:
- Fill out a form requesting to be on the mailing list.
- Confirm via email.
Unsubscribing
If you would like to unsubscribe from a mailing list, send email to listname-leave@webperformance.com, or use the appropriate automated form. (Substitute the actual name of the list for "listname" in the above email address.)
Note that the Mailman mailing list software requires a password to modify your subscription options for security reasons.
